Day 25. Death Cafe shoot and Skype conference call

A day of carefully controlled craziness...:) First up was the Death Cafe photoshoot for which I turned up with a bagful of props, a skull, flowers, fan, lace umbrella...and which turned into the most joyful, funniest loveliest get-together - with Jennifer, Sinead and the irrepressible Deirdre Power, our photographer - sample lines to us: 'Give me some Sex Cafe!'. At one stage she pondered aloud about covering us with flour. She's inimitable!

Then home for a Skype chat with my editor [name redacted] of [name redacted] Press. It's so exciting! They want to do a limited edition run, possibly hardback, a handsome edition which will be launched at Edge-Lit with signings, readings and official announcments and lots of pomp and ceremony. It's stupidly exciting.

Only slight minus to the day was the slight pang of horror caused by the shoot. The photos are great, as Deirdre's always are, but looking at them I see a need for more exercise! And less carbs! (I am forcibly reminded of my third resolution of the year - to look and feel fabulous, inside and out.) But it's good to get a reminder.

Never mind, that's another day's battle. Today I won at all things Gothic.
