Day 17. Gothic Limerick

Bit of a tired day. Made some notes on a new short story: 'Playing In Their Own Time', and also some general notes on the direction of the Irish folk Gothic project.

Thanks to my late (but excellent) night with Siobhan, Agnes and Agnes' endlessly amusing BFF Billy, I kind of ran out of juice.

But a coffee in the sun at Melt with good old kindred spirit John raised the energy levels! We talked, with great relish, (as is our wont) of castles and comics and creepy tales. He's curating a series of films in October for The Stormy Teacup in October, which will be part of our new festival this year (working title: 'Gothic Limerick'). To that we can add Death Cafe Limerick, Outbreak! and The Siege of Limerick. I'll ask Hannah if she wants to schedule Blood and Bone for then too, and perhaps we'll persuade the Viking Bus Company to let us commandeer the bus for one Saturday to run the spooky tour?
