Day 16. The Other Curtain.

Today sees a continuation of yesterday's writing jag! A nice day for lots of reasons, but not including the weather ( a real Limerick special - unending, lashing rain). But the day had its compensations including:

Aquisition of a fine college textbook on Abnormal Psychology for the Silverbrook Library a the Coonagh Cross car-boot sale...

A rather fabulous brunch at Hook and Ladder with Scott. Buttery scrambled eggs, sourdough toast and cappucino.

And then home, and a romp of a write-fest to output a response to Michael Brookes' The Cult of Me August flash fiction competition with this picture-prompt...

Ok, this is an odd one, but the haze of light reminded me of another hazy little room, the green room behind the curtain in The Wizard of Oz. I started wondering if there was another room in that chamber - a red room - and what would have happened if on discovering the green room Dorothy & co. had heeded the Wizard's exhortation to 'pay no attention to the man behind the curtain', but opened the other curtain instead...

And lo! 'The Other Curtain'. Concieved, gestated, birthed and dispatched in about two hours.

Already looking forward to tomorrow's writing session in the morning. And to seeing Siobhan tonight - yet again, another earned bout of socialising!
