Day 10. Death and the Café

Today was a veritable cornucopia of meetings and interactions - such a change from my hermit-like August to date! I started off by meeting Jennifer and Sinead in Hook and Ladder to plan our terrifically exciting Death Café Limerick project in November. After much excitement and enthusiasm and crazy tangents, we charmed the manager into booking us a slot in Hook and Ladder on the evening of the 11th of November.

Then on to meet Carmel and talk about possible conferences and projects - we've located some possibilities for 2015/2016 in Brighton, London, Seattle and Hawaii (Hawaii is the long shot!).

Finally came home to find an email from Linnie of the Manchester Centre for Gothic Studies formally confirming my acceptance for their confernece in October - here is the official entry on the programme - 'Dr Tracy Fahey (Limerick School of Art & Design, LIT, Ireland): ‘What Lies Beneath: Unveiling Occluded Patient Narratives.’' (Is it terribly gauche of me to be so excited to see the prefix 'Dr.' attached to my name? Because I am!)

A most satisfying Day 10.
